KLD5 electronic differential pressure switches don't require a threaded
connection to the system. They work exclusively electronically. Their
function is to give an adjustable alarm signal upon reaching a
differential pressure supplied by 2 transducers with an exit signal of
0 -10 Volts.
The particular advantage of this instrument is to supply two independent
alarm set points with adjustable hysteresis.
Example: In a system with two transducers A and B, KLD5 electronic
pressure switches permit the following functions:
- a signal of alarm L1 (adjustable on the scale) when A > B
- a signal of alarm L2 (adjustable on the scale) when B > A
- an identical alarm's signal value for the two differences, therefore L1
= L2
- an identical hysteresis value for the two differences adjustable between
3% and 100% on the difference of pressure.
Example: we install n.2 TR 65 transducers and we want to have a signal of
alarm when one of the two instruments is subjected to an inferior or
superior differentia pressure of X bar and we want the alarm to re-set
when the difference returns to a Y bar value.
X and Y are adjustable through the full range of the bottom scale of the
switching pressure range of the transducers utilized.
The maximum preset pressure is found acting on the right red lever
installed on the instrument forward to increase and reverse to decrease.
The minimum preset pressure hysteresis is found analogously on the black
lever of the instrument.
The instrument, completely solid state, is totally devoid of electro-
mechanical or dynamic parts.
